『Kafka on the Shore』と『海边的卡夫卡』を1日１章読む
語学の学習は楽しくなければ続かない。だからいろいろと工夫している。
英語訳の『Kafka on the Shore』と中国語訳の『海边的卡夫卡』を同時に読んでいる。
●1日に同じ章を１章を読む。今日英語訳を先に読んだら、次の日は中国語訳を先に読む。
●原書の『海辺のカフカ』は見ない。
●英語の方が得意なので、中国語訳で意味がとれないところは英語訳で確かめられる。
1日30〜40分、全部で47章あるので２ヶ月くらいで終われる。
●この小説では、中国語の「動詞」と「接続詞ー呼応」に注視して読むようにしている。
●わからないなりに、だんだん中国語見えてくる。
今日は９章を中国語訳から先に読んだ。前章より文章のリズムが良い。英語訳の方も同じようにリズムが良い。きっと村上春樹が意識的に短文でリズムある文体で書いたのでしょう。
面白くなって来た。これなら最後まで続けられそうです。

知觉恢复的时候,我正躺在幽深的灌木丛中,在潮湿的地面上躺成一段圆木。四下一片黑暗,什么也看不见。
我让头仍旧搭在扎得丝丝作痛的灌木枝上,深深吸了口气。一股夜间植物味儿。一股泥土味儿。狗屎味儿也混在里面。从树枝间可以看见夜空。没有月亮没有星星,而天空竟亮得出奇。遮蔽天空的云如电影银幕一般映出地面的光亮。传来救护车的嘶叫声,渐渐临近,又渐渐远离,侧耳倾听,来往汽车的轮胎声也隐约 耳闻。看来我好像位于都市的一角。

When I come to I’m in thick undergrowth, lying there damp ground like some log. I can’t see a thing, it’s so dark.
My head propped up by prickly brambles, I take a breath and smell plants, and earth, and mixed in, a faint whiff of dog shit. I can see the night sky through branches. There’s no moon or stars, but the sky is strangely bright. The clouds act as a screen, reflecting the light from below. An ambulance wails off in the distance, grows closer, then fades away. Listening closely, I can just catch the rumble of tyres from traffic. I reckon I must be in some corner of the city.
